ABA Therapy at The Kreative Kids Learning Center

At The Kreative Kids Learning Center (KKLC), we understand that early childhood education is more than just academic learning. Behavioral and mental health are integral components of a child’s development, and we are proud to offer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy for children diagnosed with Autism. Our evidence-based approach promotes a comprehensive and individualized pathway to growth, ensuring every child has the support they need to thrive.

Developmental Screening: The First Step of ABA Therapy

Our care begins with developmental screening, a crucial step in identifying potential delays that may affect a child’s progress. Screening is not designed to provide a diagnosis but helps determine whether more in-depth assessments are necessary. Using tools like the Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-3), we:

  • Accurately and cost-effectively screen for developmental delays.
  • Provide a hassle-free process with on-site resources and professionals.
  • Conduct screenings within the first 30 days of enrollment and continue with ongoing assessments.

This proactive approach ensures that children receive the early intervention they need to succeed.

Specialized ABA Services: Inclusion and Individualized Support

Inclusion is a core principle at KKLC. We believe in creating early childhood programs where children with disabilities learn and play alongside their peers. To promote a sense of belonging, we provide:

  • Individualized Accommodations: Tailored support to foster cognitive, physical, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
  • Evidence-Based Strategies: Designed to encourage friendships, learning, and active participation in all activities.
  • A Supportive Environment: Ensuring every child feels valued and included in their learning community.

ABA Therapy for Children with Autism

Our center is equipped to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy, which focuses on understanding and improving behavior while teaching skills that enhance a child’s independence. Key elements include:

  • Initial and Ongoing Assessments: Using tools like the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) and Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, Third Edition (ABAS-3), we assess a child’s skills, strengths, and areas for growth. Assessments are conducted every six months (VB-MAPP) or annually (ABAS-3) to develop and refine individualized treatment plans.
  • Individualized Treatment Plans: Each child receives a plan tailored to their unique needs, focusing on language, social skills, adaptive behavior, and daily living skills.
  • Collaborative Approach: We work closely with families to ensure goals are aligned and progress is meaningful.

Parent-Caregiver Training

At KKLC, we understand that families play an essential role in a child’s development. That’s why Parent-Caregiver Training is a cornerstone of our ABA Therapy program. Training is individualized to meet each family’s needs and may include:

  • Education on the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Strategies for behavior management at home and in the community.
  • Guidance on addressing sleep difficulties and establishing healthy routines.
  • Support for toilet training and other essential daily living skills.

Through group or one-on-one sessions, parents and caregivers gain the tools and confidence needed to support their child’s growth.

Autism Assessments

For children receiving ABA Therapy, comprehensive assessments guide our treatment plans. These include:

  • VB-MAPP: Measuring language, learning, and social skills to identify strengths and developmental goals.
  • ABAS-3: Evaluating adaptive skills to enhance daily living and independence.
