Early Learning at The Kreative Kids Learning Center

Our Early Learning programs are designed to nurture and develop essential skills in children from infancy to preschool age. At The Kreative Kids Learning Center (KKLC), we utilize the HighScope curriculum, a research-based educational approach that supports young learners through interactive, play-based experiences. Our teachers are trained to scaffold learning and reinforce developmental milestones that pave the way for future academic and personal success.

Infant & Toddler Program (0-3 Years)

For our youngest learners, our Infant & Toddler Program focuses on early learning and development in six core content areas. Guided by 42 Key Developmental Indicators (KDIs), this program provides a strong foundation for lifelong learning through age-appropriate interactions and play. Each KDI helps our teachers:

  • Observe and choose suitable interactions and activities through a child development “filter.”
  • Interpret young children’s words and actions along a developmental continuum.
  • Set reasonable, achievable expectations.
  • Reinforce the value of play as the primary learning mechanism for young children.
  • Make knowledgeable and intentional daily plans for both individual children and the class.

Our infant and toddler curriculum is designed to support and gently extend each child’s growth, creating an environment where children feel safe to explore and learn.

Building Healthy Foundations with Mental and Behavioral Support

At KKLC, we work closely with Dearborn Behavioral and Mental Health Services to give our teachers the resources they need to foster each child’s holistic development. With a focus on:
  • Observing and supporting children through various developmental stages.
  • Creating positive learning experiences that adapt to each child’s growth.
  • Providing guidance in setting healthy expectations for both teachers and parents.
Through this support, KKLC ensures that every child has access to a nurturing, developmentally aligned early learning experience, bridging health with learning in their most formative years.
